GT and I finished a lesson in his vocabulary book. GT did quite well with the application activities. We then read an informational text article "Why Good People Do Bad Things"as an introduction to the next novel. We read and discussed the relevance to the next book. We also answered the comprehension questions that followed. GT did quite well:)

GT and I finished the reading and study of the play. We discussed the plot and interpreted the lines. We also completed a quotactvity for Act V. GT did quite well. We also discussed the literary term parody. We watched a Humorous interpretation of RINSE THE BLOOD OFF MY TOGA which is a parody of JULIUS CAESAR. GT enjoyed it.

Abby and I continued with the drafting of her essay. I explained the technique of quote blending. Abby drafted her essay as the cumulative grade for this book. We discussed and searched the novel for the most effective textual evidence to support her writing. We also discussed proper MLA citations and format. Abby will complete her essay for homework.

I instructed Abby on the different structures of a Comparison/ Contrast essay. We then took our outline from yesterday and began writing the essay. Abby will look for her textual support from the novel for homework. She chose the flip-flop structure for her analytical essay. She wrote her introductory and first body paragraphs. She needs to add her textual support.
