Olivia and I continued our study of the novel. Olivia needs to complete six double journal entries based on our reading. She needs to make-up her three due from last week. We discussed the third person point of view used in this novel. We also annotated for meaning and to further our commentary on the book.
Taylor and I worked on writing the body paragraphs of her essay. We first discussed the structure of the argumentative. Taylor's research is very good on the topic. She had written a very rough draft. We worked on revision. We worked on strategically placing her evidence. She will continue to create a working draft at home.
We revised the question templates for grades K-5 and 6-12 for the Yearbook. Then we printed out the templates, and brought one to each scholar. We asked them to answer the questions by next Thursday. We then worked on Taylor's argumentative essay. Taylor had written the introduction for homework. We revised it, and we talked about the body paragraphs. Taylor will complete her rough draft for homework.
Taylor and I began delving into her found research for her argumentative paper. I presented the logic to be used with this type of paper. I also presented the fallacies associated with the argumentative essay. Taylor has found excellent articles. We began highlighting the evidence that she deems most effective. She will compose her introduction for homework.
