Spencer and I went over his spelling words. The soft g rule was reviewed and practiced. Spencer's mom picked him up at 2:00 so he did not get a chance to complete his math homework.
Morgan began the session by working on the Museum Project for her American History class. She used her computer to look at two museums in Washington, DC. Morgan had to select items from the National Museum of Art and the National Museum of Natural History that she would like to see while she is in DC. This assignment is in preparation for an upcoming field trip to the Nation's Capital. For the second half of the study period Morgan practiced her spelling words from Units 10, 11, and 12. She used her computer to practice the words from these lists.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - understanding decimals, writing fractions using tenths and hundredths. Tristan struggled with identifying fractions using the hundredths; language arts - Tristan completed a word search practicing sight words. Tristan then completed a 'match the meaning' activity, choosing the word that matches the picture.
Morgan played the game Kahoots as a review for her American History test she is to take on Thursday. It was fun and we both learned some new facts about the Civil War. She played the game a second time but did not quite get through all of the questions.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - activity #16 - working on topics such as symmetry, skip counting, counting money, and multiplication facts; language arts - write down '-ang' family words. Tristan was also tasked to complete a word search, reviewing sight words. However, he did not complete it.

Tristan did great writing in science. However, it was a bit of struggle to complete homework today. He will be sitting out for the first round of recess tomorrow. Tristan did not complete his homework and therefore, we will not be participating outside for a brain break.
Today Cabo worked on homework from world history. Cabo spent time reviewing the unit text and completing vocabulary from the unit. He reported that he was caught up on all other classes and had no additional homework to complete.

Spencer usually organizes his work space at the end of each day without being asked or prompted. Homophones and words with similar meanings were reviewed and practiced. Spencer did well on word problems that involved multiplying factors of ten.
