Spencer chose to complete his math homework first. He did well creating and interpreting pictographs. Spencer wrote answers to questions about his fictitious reindeer pet. He then used the answers to write a paragraph about his pet using time order words. Spencer enjoyed working on a word search puzzle.

Some of the students were playing outside when it was time for Spencer's homework hour. He listened the first time when asked to come in. I told Spencer how well he listened and that I was proud of him.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - dreidel roll graph, creating a tally chart and a bar graph; language arts - reading aloud, "The Bug Club" retelling the story, using words such as first, next, then, and last.
Tristan enjoyed a school-wide activity, interacting with therapy dogs. Tristan completed homework such as, math - completing six, six-digit addition and subtraction problems.
Spencer completed a language arts assignment that included reading a passage and answering both short answer and multiple-choice questions about the text. He practiced writing j and p in cursive.

Spencer complained and stated that he was not going to read a whole page and answer all those questions. However, he settled down and completed the assignment.
Tristan completed homework such as, language arts - completing two activities, focusing on double meaning words and beginning digraphs, identifying the correct spelling, choosing 'ai' or 'ay', and identifying the ending, 'ck' or 'k'; writing - handwriting letters i, u, w, t, r, s, and j; and math - completing a review activity, focusing on multiplication and rounding. Tristan did excellently completing his homework today.
