Tristan completed homework such as, language arts - completing two activities, focusing on double meaning words and beginning digraphs, identifying the correct spelling, choosing 'ai' or 'ay', and identifying the ending, 'ck' or 'k'; writing - handwriting letters i, u, w, t, r, s, and j; and math - completing a review activity, focusing on multiplication and rounding. Tristan did excellently completing his homework today.
Tristan and I began our session with a school-wide activity, listening to a presentation from a student. Tristan then completed homework such as math - factors and multiples and language arts - holiday writing activity, 'I Saw One of Santa's Reindeer', creating a story using the words first, next, and last. Before doing so, Tristan completed a pre-writing activity, planning for his story.

Spencer practiced finding the area of irregular shapes. He would benefit from more practice on this skill. He read a passage entitled, 'Santa's Vacation'. Spencer did well writing the main idea and two supporting details.

Sometimes, Spencer needs to be given the same direction a few times before he listens. Sometimes, after being given a direction a few times, he still chooses to not listen.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - finding multiples of numbers. Tristan did excellently with finding multiples by skip counting. Tristan also had science homework that we will complete tomorrow.

Lesson Outline
Time management skills and strategies were reviewed. Spencer did very well practicing his spelling words. His vocabulary words were all compound words. Spencer practiced combining two words to make a compound word. He is learning how to find the area of irregular shapes.
Spencer benefited from prompting and encouragement to get his assignments done. He confidently multiplied numbers from 0-10. Spencer was tasked with proofreading sentences and correcting misspelled words and end punctuation. He did well practicing his spelling words on the whiteboard. Additionally, Spencer was asked to write a paragraph about his favorite toy/game using his spelling words.

Tristan completed homework such as, math - finding factors of 27 and 49 and language arts - vocabulary activity, writing the word that completes each sentence with words such as swift, stumble, peer, slippery, chatter, drench, blush, doze, startle, and dusk. Tristan also matched the word with the picture. Tristan did wonderfully finding factors.
