Tristan completed homework such as language arts - reading the story, "Cop Cat and the Mule" and completing a character activity and math - dividing multiples of ten.
Spencer benefited from encouragement to start and his complete his homework. Time management of assignments was reviewed. Spencer did well completing division problems that involved numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5. He read a brief realistic fiction passage and answered questions about the text. In addition, Spencer worked on identifying the main idea and supporting details online.

Tristan completed homework such as, math - dividing by one through twelve; reading and highlighting 'ch' words; and creating a marshmallow launcher observing Newton's first law of motion and push and pull.
Matthew worked on the conclusion to his English essay.
We discussed strategy for forming a conclusion. He wrote the sentences. We stepped away from the material briefly for Matthew to clear his mind and work on a digital rendering of his golf course.
Matthew then returned to his draft. He fixed minor errors as we went along. He added a Tolstoy quote to the final paragraph.
Spencer worked on a word problems that required division. He read a brief informational text that included a chart and was tasked with writing answers to questions about both the text and chart. Additionally, given sentences, Spencer circled the inflectional ending of the words in bold and then wrote the meaning of the word.
Matthew was given a brief amount of time to stretch his legs and engage with some of his classmates.
Matthew then worked on an essay for English class. He worked diligently. I encouraged him to use specific examples from his source material. He was also asked questions to help him generate relevant ideas. We worked together to resolve seemingly conflicting ideas.
