He quickly and confidently solved the multiplication problems. Spencer also did well using his vocabulary words to complete given sentences. Spencer enjoyed completing a word search of his vocabulary words.
Tristan completed homework such as, math - rounding to the nearest ten and estimating solving multiplication problems; word work - writing & reading aloud words that rhyme with hop, hot, and hog; and lastly, science - cutting and pasting steps of the scientific method such as asking questions, hypothesis, conduct the experiment, observation, analyze data, draw conclusions, matching them with their definitions.

The Biden administration continued to face questions today about its handling a surge of Haitian migrants crossing the Texas border, even after temporarily suspending horse patrols in the area. Images of horseback patrols pursuing Haitians spread earlier this week, drawing outrage from the public, Congress and the White House. Both the Department of Homeland Security and White House confirmed those patrols had been stopped for the time being. DHS officials said about 7,000 migrants remained in Del Rio, Texas today. Migrants have been moved to other areas for processing, sent back to Haiti and, in some cases, turned back to Mexico. Vice President Kamala Harris called images of federal agents on horseback chasing down Haitian migrants “horrible.” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the photos “troubled me profoundly.” White House press secretary Jen Psaki called them “obviously horrific.” President Biden hasn’t yet spoken on the images from Del Rio, Texas, where a surge of Haitian migrants crossed the border and set up a makeshift camp under a bridge. We discussed why there is such a large surge of Haitian people wanting to leave Haiti and enter the U.S.

Spencer spent a short time on pre-writing cursive practice. He worked on multiplying by 2 and 3. Additionally, Spencer read a passage and then answered questions which required looking back in the text. Spencer's journal prompt today was, 'If animals could talk, what would you ask them and why?'
Tristan completed homework such as, math - working on word problems, circling important numbers and solving; reading sentences and identifying nouns and verbs by circling and underlining; and working with short e words, spelling and searching for them in a word search.
