Yogic pranayama (breathwork) was guided and then a deep meditation was facilitated using quartz bowls and a Siberian drum to enhance the entrain the brain waves to the appropriate frequencies required for deeper states of meditation.

We went through all the sections in Chapter 2 and reviewed the material.

The lesson consisted of a review of previous material. We went over the first part of the homework assignment and it was related to the prior lessons. Questions were answered. The rest of the homework must be completed by next week.

Today we worked on vocabulary, grammar, conversation and cultural point. We practiced conversation to use the grammar in context. We also watched and discussed some cultural videos in class. We also read and discussed about Latinos in the USA. For homework, she will practice on quizlet and duolingo this weekend.

An in-depth explanation of classical mechanics or the familiar Newtonian Physics typically taught first in schools was given. Some common mathematical definitions and formalisms were reviewed. The differences between classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, special relativity and general relativity was then explained and implications of each subfield of physics in relation to the previous lessons was described.

We started going through the first few sections in Chapter 2. Much of the material was easy for Sam and was just basic review. We spent the majority of the remaining lesson reviewing slope formulas and practicing different problems.

Sam did some silent reading and chose two discussion questions to answer. She wrote her answers in a paragraph, using textual evidence when possible.

Today, we worked on some grammar points in the present tense. We learned new vocabulary, she created her flashcards on Quizlet. We talked about some cultural points about Latino in Miami and Spanish influence in Miami's architecture. For homework, she will practice on quizlet and duolingo.

I gave Samantha her test so she could continue to work on it. She worked the entire session and almost finished. The test consisted of finding vertices and axes of parabolas, factoring and solving quadratic functions and equations, and working with complex numbers. There was no assignment.

Sam arrived to class quite late today. As a result, we were only able to review her homework and make a few corrections to her understanding of the Federalist Papers. We are having a test on Monday on ch. 2 and part of ch. 3 when we next have a scheduled class.
