Math – We reviewed Lesson 15. Kelcy learned that there are two ways to find the area of an irregular shape. Sometimes he used addition of two areas and sometimes he used the subtraction of an area. First he practiced using addition to add two rectangular areas together. Next he practiced finding areas by decomposing into rectangles or completing composite figures to form rectangles. We found an area then decomposed it into smaller rectangles to subtract the area of the missing piece.
