Rory continued to watch and finish the movie The Help. He created a time line to show the sequence of events in the movie. We began to process the theme and the message of the movie in order to engage in other activities.
Rory and I are critically viewing the film. We are discussing the time period involved. We are discussing the theme and the characters involved. We are previewing the critical review form that he will write once we finish watching the film.
In this activity, Rory completed his exercise solving systems of linear equations using elimination. In his next session we will be using a more complicated version of linear systems.
Rory and I continue to view the film. We are also making notes on the characters and plot. This will help Rory as he needs to complete the film review paper. We previewed the film review activity prior to watching the film.
Rory and I continued reading and discussing the article from our last class that focused on the mis-categorization of music on streaming platforms and how that affects not only consumers but businesses (music artists), too! People are now feeling misrepresented or not represented at all in their genre. This is a great example of how supply (what the streaming services offer) is affected by demand from the consumer in the industry he's interested in.
