Lesson Outline
Rory and I finished reading the book. We began working on his summative project for the book. Rory will create a PowerPoint presentation involving all of the characters and the author's purpose for placing these characters in the protagonist's path. We just started working on an outline for it and will continue with it tomorrow.

Rory and I caught up on current events surrounding the COVID pandemic and how it's affecting the economy. We discussed the effects it's having on economic "success" measures like unemployment and GDP as well as the phased approach to open the economy back up.

We watched part of a SharkTank episode, too.

He's always lying in his bed and barely showed his face, but at least he answered the call...

I read more of the book. Rory followed along. He didn't want to complete the comprehension activities, so he said that he will do a final project on the book to be used as an assessment.
We discussed the option for a final project/paper on the book using writing and technology.

Lesson Comments
I still can't see Rory during the session. He won't read. I read to him. I can't see him, so I don't know if he's following. He does have his book, and he holds it up in the air to show me. I stop and ask questions--sometimes he knows them; sometimes he doesn't. I gave him full credit: however, at 10:45, he said that he was sorry but he had to end early. And we were finished.
