Review the concepts of voltage and current in an electric circuit.
Define resistance to the flow as opposition to the movement of the electrons. Discuss and explain factors which will affect the resistance to flow. These include the thickness of the wire conductor, the length of the wire conductor, and the temperature of the wire conductor. Demonstrate all three using a video depicting a clear tube as a wire and marbles as the electrons.

Nicole answered exercises B, C, D and E. Prior to answering, she read each sentence for pronunciation She then translated the sentences and finally answered the questions. She added vocabulary to her word bank. We reviewed grammar as needed.

The topic of current and amperes was introduced using a short video depicting how current flows through a conductor. A coulomb of charge was defined and explained in terms of electrons, and the unit of measurement, the ampere, or amp, was introduced. A voltage source was shown to provide a sustained current by acting like a voltage pump.

Today Nicole and I wrote a formal outline for a five-paragraph essay about The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. The essay prompt is "Coyote Sunrise follows a common way to tell a story called the "Hero's Journey." The introduction describes what the HJ is, and the three body paragraphs support this statement. The conclusion will explain how the HJ changed the main character. I help Nicole with the structure of the outline; we brainstorm the details together. Tomorrow we will begin to write the essay in class.

Nicole and I had a productive OG session. I began with a phonological awareness exercise, level K2#1, followed by a review of the sound deck with visual, auditory, and blending drills. I reviewed the concept of eu /U/ and dictated words for Nicole to type. Finally, I taught the new concept of ie /E/ and dictated words.

Nicole took her 5s tables test with 93% accuracy! We then looked at exercises with exponents. It was somewhat of a review. We raised powers to powers, raised fractions to powers, and raised products to a power. Nicole did fairly well with the assignment.

We took a look at guidelines Disney World must follow, which could be in June. This is wonderful news for Nicole. Then we reviewed the recreational relaxations that will be put into effect in PBC later this week and the new rules that apply to parks, golf courses, some beaches, golfing and more into PBC. Governor DeSantis met with president Trump at the White House yesterday.

The goal is to have an awareness of how you feel from moving every joint in the body, starting with the toes, circularly engaging every joint and working the spine in all different directions.

Nicole read the 2nd portion of Los Vampiros by repeating portions of each sentence after I read them. This helped her learn the proper pronunciation. She then read the material on her own, translated each portion and added new vocabulary to her word bank. When she completed the story, she did exercise A. Nicole did well today.
