Lesson Outline
Indigo did well reading her sight words. She cut out the letters of the sight words and glued them on paper to spell the words. Indigo also did well determining and writing the letter that named the initial sound of the picture shown. Indigo was tasked with identifying which picure had a subtle difference in a group of four pictures. We practiced.reaing -at family words. Indigo matched pictures to the -at family words that named them. She enjoyed a cut and paste, sorting activity where she sorted -at family words and other words.
Sight words were reviewed. Indigo practiced writing the sight words. She also practiced writing the letter g. Indigo did well drawing a line from pictures to the letters of the initial sounds.Blending of sounds was introduced. Indigo learned how to blend a consonant with at. She was very proud to read cat, bat, mat and hat. Given letters, Indigo was able to spell the 4 words.

Indigo was very pleased to sound out words in the at family.
Indigo was able to count to 29. She made number flip books for the numbers 1, 2, and 3. She then read each flip book. Example: I can see 2 socks. I can see 2 feet. I can see 2 boots. I can see 2 clowns. She colored each picture.
Indigo practiced writing her name using proper formation and spacing of letters. She did well reading her sight words. Indigo enjoyed completing brief activities with the words see and and. She proudly pasted the activities into her 'Sight Word Notebook'. In phonics, we continue to focus on the hard g sound. She did well identifying which pictures began with the g sound. Indigo began to blend letters in the at family today. Given the at sound and a consonanat, Indigo was able to blend the sounds together to read the word. She was quite pleased. This is a new skill that we will continue to practice.
Indigo enjoyed listening to the clues to figure out what picture, with the initial /g/ sound, the riddle was about. She listened to and followed directions on how to identify the correct picture. We reviewed the /g/ sound. Indigo identified all the pictures that began with the g sound. She traced and wrote the letter g. We reviewed the four sight words Indigo has learned. She completed a brief activity for each word and then proudly glued the papers into her 'Sight Word Notebook'. The sight word 'and' was introduced today. Indigo enjoyed a color by sight words activity.
