Indigo did well drawing a line from the letter to the picture that starts with that letter's sound. She was successful in determining which picture had a subtle difference. The letter and sound of g were introduced today. Indigo worked carefully to trace the dotted line from the g to pictures that began with the /g/ sound. Given a row of letters, Indigo identified all the letters that matched the first letter in the row. We reviewed her sight words. Indigo was pleased to read a 'I See the' book. She practiced tracing and writing A and a.

Indigo enjoyed a Valentine's Day themed phonics page in which she colored in the letter with which the picture began. She wrote and traced Indigo and Ll. We went over sight words and will be adding to the list next time. Indigo did well on 'Reading Eggs', a supplemental online program. Activities she engaged in while on the program included, choosing the correct picture to match the initial sound, dot to dot letter writing and matching words to pictures.
