Lesson Outline
Indigo practiced tracing and writing the letter w. She did well writing the letter that named the inial sound of pictures. We went over her sight words. Indigo enjoyed a word hunt. Different people around the school had a picture of a balloon with an -at family word printed on it. Indigo found the balloons, read the word and then wrote the word.

We reviewed Indigo's sight words. The sight word on was introduced. Indigo counted the number of times the word on was in a grid of words. She also practiced tracing and writing on. Indigo did well reading -at family words. She traced the sentence 'The Cat sat on the mat.'. She then cut out the words, glued them in the correct order and read the sentence. She was very pleased. Indigo matched letters to pictures that began with that initial sound. She did well writing the letter of the initial sound of pictures. Indigo enjoyed going on 'Reading Eggs', an online, supplemental program. While on the program, Indigo blended -at family words, connected dot-to-dot letters, matched upper and lower case letters and identified pictures that began with the short a sound.
