GT and I read Act II scenes I and II. We selected meaningful passages and interpreted them. We talked about the theme of the play. We also discussed the relevance of Shakespeare's theme and plot in today's world.
GT watched "How Wolves Saved Yellowstone," which examines the trophic cascade that resulted when wolves were reintroduced to the park after a 70 year absence, and also how the wolves even changed the region's geography. We then watched and discussed videos on high altitude subtropical biomes and desert biomes. We spent some time talking about water's high specific heat and how bodies of water help regulate diurnal and seasonal weather variation.
In this session, GT Developed the fundamental and Pythagorean identities. We also graphed the functions of sin and cos and determined range and domain, along with the concept of odd and even functions.
I presented a brief introduction to JULIUS CAESAR. GT and I then read Act I scenes I and II. We then discussed what we had read. We answered a few discussion questions regarding the section that we had read. GT turned in his vocabulary that he had completed on Friday, and I am assessing it.
We began with a brief review and discussion of current news stories. Some topics included the Brexit extension, the Syrian conflict, and the impeachment inquiry. Next, we continued our final review of Chapter 5, Civil Rights. Women's rights and affirmative action were discussed in detail. We closed by reviewing the process of expanding civil rights in our country through the actions of courts and legislation. GT was exceptional as always.
The lesson began with a review and discussion of current news stories. Next, we continued our review of civil rights. We engaged in an extensive review and discussion of racism. The issue of segregation and the court actions to address the practice were discussed. Public education and segregation were reviewed and discussed in depth. GT was insightful and knowledgeable in his observations and comments.
We extensively reviewed GT's draft of his term paper. The quality of this draft is outstanding. Next, we briefly reviewed some relevant news stories. The remainder of our time was focused on civil rights. Freedom of expression and the role of the courts in establishing the rights were reviewed and discussed at length.

As always, he was interested and involved throughout.
