Lesson Outline
Avery did well completing patterns based on size or color. She carefully drew non-straight lines, staying in the path provided. Avery confidently and quickly circled letters that matched the first letter in the row. She enjoyed listening to riddles and then identifying the picture the riddle described. Avery was tasked with following directions on how to mark the correct picture. We started to work our way through the alphabet writing the letters in upper case.
sequencing, color by number, choral reading, following directions
Lesson Outline
Given bear patterns, Avery used manipulatives to continue the pattern. She enjoyed a color-by-number (1-6), Halloween activity. Avery made a pumpkin book where each page increased the number of pumpkins by one. Additionally, we played a follow directions game that utilized shapes and colors. Avery was engaged and enthusiastic.

Lesson Comments
Avery is a verbal, bright, friendly child. She was enthusiastic about everything she was asked to do. She is a pleasure.
I had Avery complete drawing a form of her favorite animal, the cheetah. After Avery finished coloring in her drawings, I worked with her to create the head and ears of Mickey Mouse.
I watched Avery over lunch as Mr. Marcus was busy so they couldn't work on her Mickey Mouse. Instead we had a discussion on lots of different animals, from narwhals (because she likes unicorns) and cheetahs.
