Abby read in French, translated, identified vocabulary and grammar. Today she also identified characters and explained their role in the story. Two chapters were completed - 17 & 18.

Abby read chapter 16 of Phantom of the Opera. She read in French, translated, identified grammar and vocabulary. For homework, she will answer the 20 questions at the end of the chapter.

Abby answered the 30 questions from Chapter 15 of Phantom of the Opera. She did an excellent job with only 2 errors. We then went outside and she wrote entries into her journal. Her original 16 sentences has very few grammatical errors.

Abby completed reading chapter 15 of Phantom of the opera. She read in French then translated. As she translated, we discussed the events occurring in the story. Abby added new vocabulary to her word bank and identified grammatical constructions. For homework, she will answer, in French, the 20 questions at the end of the chapter.

Abby read part 1 of chapter 15 of Phantom of the Opera. She read in French, then translated. She then gave me an oral summary of the story, identifying the roles of each of the characters and describing the plot in detail. She did well.

Abby wrote 24 original sentences in her journal. She discussed the events and activities of last weekend and those of her upcoming summer vacation. She used all 5 tenses, regular and irregular verbs, nouns of places, clothing, food, relatives, weather, time, feelings, possessive adjectives, adjectives of description, and direct and indirect objects. She required very little assistance and read all her entries upon completion. Her French pronunciation was very good.
