We reviewed how to say greetings, days of the week, and months of the year. We also looked at how to translate words from English to Spanish in the dictionary.
Religion: This week is Catholic Schools week. Today, Jonathan wrote an encouraging letter to the Healthcare Workers. This letter was scanned and emailed to his teacher.
ILA: Brainstormed, using the whiteboard, 9 different topics about things Jonathan loves. He had to choose 2-3 items for each topic.
He could change the topics if he didn't like the ones suggested.
Then, he wrote those items in the heart graphic organizer provided by his teacher. Viewed the Fundations video. 15 minutes on Get Epic to read a book...
Religion: Practice the "Act of Contrition" as a whole prayer and breaking it down into parts. Read pages 887-88: Blessings and devotions help us praise and thank God.
ILA: Work on lessons iReady for 15 minutes and Get Epic for 15 minutes. Worked on the "Trick Word Trace, Copy and Write" Fundations worksheet. Completed page 6 (What I learned) for the Polar Bear flip book.
Math – Jonathan completed several practice problems involving counting coins. The first set involved counting quarters, the second set nickels and dimes, and the third all three. He is becoming very proficient at counting money and making change. Next he completed a Blue comprehension check on I ready. Then we worked on learning how to add with carry over.
Science – Unit Review: We completed the comprehensive Unit Review questions on plant and animal traits. Jonathan had no problem answering these questions so he will be ready for the Unit 2 Test at the end of the week.
We practiced greetings and introductions in Spanish. We also practiced pronouncing the alphabet and vowel sounds in Spanish. We watched a video on one-syllable words and practiced numbers 1-50 in Spanish.
