Today's lesson went well. Ben asked to get out five minutes early in order to get to his art class on time to set up so I said ok.
Discussed and reviewed Ben's homework from Tuesday, a two-paged handout on Maria's free time activities and sports for one week, and then Ben created his own weekly plan of his activities in German.

Ben is a natural when it comes to learning German. He deciphers new vocabulary on his own from understanding other words in the sentence that he does know, and then answers the questions correctly without my help.
Practiced 31 new vocabulary words, spelling them in German and writing them out. Played Bingo using the vocabulary words. Played Blooket using new vocabulary words for sports and free time activities.
Reviewed was machst du in deiner Freizeit. Used google slides to create answers to questions: Was spielst du? Ich spiele... Was machst du...? Ich mache.. then used those sentences to create sentences for Ben's drawing. Reviewed the new vocabulary by practicing with a new Blooket.
Video Freizeit und Sport with new vocabulary for sports and free time activities in German. Went over Ben's homework assignment to do a sketch of his favorite things to do (5). Today we began to label that drawing. Played Blooket using the new vocabulary.
I substituted for Joshua's German class (my student Aiden was absent). Joshua worked independently on his assignment online. We also discussed a few math problems he was curious about.
I subbed for Ben's German class today. He did my science class material instead of German. He read the text "A Closer Look: Kinetic Energy." We discussed and diagrammed rotational and translational kinetic energy. He recorded a video clip presentation and demonstration of rotational and translational kinetic energy.
