Joshua worked on an assignment which had him read ten (10) different German traditions and write descriptions about them. He is also to pick his favorite, state the reason why he chose it, and write a descriptive paragraph about the tradition. Joshua worked independently, while exchanging relevant comments and pleasantries about the holidays with me while working. The assignment is due tomorrow and is worth 50 points.

Discussed German Christmas vocabulary from previous class and watched half of short video to add vocabulary to list. Knecht Ruprecht, Advent, Weihnachten, Weihnachtsmarkt etc.
Went over the months, pronunciation and spelling, from Ben's German calendar and then watched part of a Christmas market in German. Recess today, so class was short.
Ben's oral and written presentation on Meine Familie - written labelled drawing of his family he presented and described in German using vocabulary for mother, uncle, aunt etc as well as traits - nett, symptathisch, groß etc.
Began discussing the German calendar - the months - die Monate - using Ben's own German calendar.
Discussed and watched a video on Nikolaus Tag December 6. then played Blooket to review Familie terms. Then Familie vocabulary quiz. Then worked on fill in the blank of a family tree Familienstammbaum
Using the German family tree of Ben Thalhofer from Deutsch Na Klar Ben explained orally the family connections all in German. Then we did an online exercises unscrambling 10 family vocabulary words referring to Deutsche Aktuelle p 48 - 50 Family vocabulary when necessary.
Discussed Familie in Deutsch Na Klar Ben Thalhofer - new vocabulary of uncles, aunts, cousins etc. Did family tree online questionnaire exercises-
