Isabella left school a half-hour early. Erin stayed and discussed how Intro to Cosmo classes are going and future planning with Judy Batt. Also some planning for Thursday's practical application of Woods Lamp analysis. It was determined the "chemical room" would be best because there is no window.

Bella has some very normal struggles when she is not able to achieve the goals of a particular skill, such as parting a mannequin head of hair, perfectly from the first or second attempt.
To preempt resistance and reduce frustration, I advise her before starting any new skill that it looks like it should be very easy, but in fact, everyone finds it is much harder than it seems.
Bella still gets frustrated with herself at times, but I will continue to encourage her to be kind to herself when learning something new and recognize the milestones she achieves as soon as they are apparent.

2. Setting up the implements and products for a deep pore cleansing mask
3. Review of Ph scale, polarity and the relationship to the periodic table
4. Ph testing of skincare products and review of their effect on the epidermis and dermal layers of the skin
5. Application, processing and removal of gommage mud mask
6. Visual and tactile review of the results of the cationic transfer of nutrients deposited into the skin and removal of impurities out of the pores.
7. Sanitation & clean-up of tools and products.
8. Wrap up and relationship review of the sciences and topics taught to Bella so far.
Assignment
The jar of gommage mud mask was sent home with Bella with instructions for use as needed for a maximum of 2x a week

Homework is for Bella to try a new skincare cleansing routine using the products given to her and being attentive to any changes she notices in the sebaceous activity on the surface of her skin.

Matthew and I discussed the value of rearranging schedules so as to be able to complete tasks when the appropriate resources are available.

Matthew worked on 2 separate English assignments. He made edits to an essay. He rearranged a poorly constructed assigned paragraph.

Matthew then worked on chemistry. He answered several questions on radiation. Our session went slightly over time so that he could finish the work here at school while I was available to answer questions.
