Cabo was given time to work on his Spanish vocabulary in preparation for his test next week.
He looked up two sections worth of words. I then verified the quality of the definitions that he had found.
We then took a quick breather by walking outside.
He finished the class by working on more vocabulary. After our last Spanish chapter test, Cabo identified vocabulary as his most challenging area. So, he is being given more vocabulary assignments during this chapter to help him to overcome that difficulty.
In an effort to keep him alert and not lose the head of steam that he had built in our amazing Spanish session, we went outside for a brief walk.
While we were out there, he came upon a glass lizard.
He was able to identify, capture, and take inside the lizard.
Upon returning to the classroom, we made a second attempt at the chemistry assignment. Cabo and I worked from the book to press forward on the assignment.

While I was proud of Cabo for making a second attempt at an assignment that he had already written off, I was hoping that we could have had a little more success together on this one.
Cabo identified the work that is due for his classes.
He had a chemistry assignment.
He seemed daunted by the task. So, we decided to piecemeal the work into smaller sections. This strategy helped initially as he was then able to finish half of the assignment.
He should finish the second half of the assignment independently.
Hank wrote a paragraph today about why Chess is his favorite game.
He did an excellent job expressing himself. He wrote more than the required amount of sentences and was thoughtful about what he wrote as opposed to rushing just to complete an assignment.
He seemed to care deeply about what he had to say. I am hoping that he will continue to write about subjects that are dear to him.
Also, Hank did an excellent job coaching the director of the school to make two moves at different points during the school chess game.
He helped other students and got to make some moves himself. He did an excellent job managing the school chess game.
I am proud of his efforts and his investment in our projects here at the school.
