We are now working on more advanced moves with Hank.
We have introduced the idea of revealed jeopardy, knight's fork, and a pinned piece. I meant to review castling today, but he has already seemed to have assimilated the information.
Marcel watched a video about a design firm based in California (IDEO). We then discussed the video and briefly introduced the process of market research, rapid prototyping, creativity in business, and other concepts.
We discussed the pervasive presence of Engineering in our modern world.

Marcel had some great insights to bring out discussion today.
Marcel was introduced to a software program called 3DC.io.
He was given time to explore the software.
He was then asked to create a Snowman with the software. He did an amazing job using a variety of tools such as the: positioning, resizing, coloring, cloning, and other tools.
After completion, he and I discussed the tools that he used as well as ways to refine his process.
Marcel then was tasked with drawing with paper and pencil his vision of a chess piece. These sketches will later turn into a 3D file and in turn will be 3D printed here at the school.

Marcel was able to create some fantastic works today.
He excelled with the snowman and with the Chess piece.
Max and I discussed his personal learning techniques and type.
We discussed some of the strategies that we will use to play to his strengths and to also stretch him as a scholar to build on any difficulties that may be present.
He had a Chemistry assignment. We worked on it together. Cabo did a decent job taking the lead and working with minor need of breaks and guidance back to the activity.
We celebrated Cabo's recent successes. I got to know little buddy a little better.
