He then went to the school wide presentation briefly.
Within moments, he decided that he did not want to stay, but I continue to encourage him to at least sample the school wide events so that he does not miss out on any events that he would enjoy.
Cabo let me know that he had wanted to stream content the night before, but he was unable to due to family obligations. I asked Cabo what could be done in the future in a similar situation. At first, he responded that nothing could probably be done since unforeseen things can always come up.
Trying to get Cabo to dig deeper, we discussed what options he would have if he were to take a pro-active stance in these types of situations. He decided that perhaps he could pre-record content at some point and then have it ready to go in the event of unforeseen occurrences.
I tried to help Cabo to generalize this skill (being prepared, proactive, and solution oriented) to the rest of his life. We will work on this further.

Lesson Comments
My intent is to teach Cabo universal principles (being proactive, identifying and thinking through problems, etc.) through an activity that he thoroughly enjoys such as content creation.
Hank visited with the school chicks upon his arrival.
Hank had the choice of which story he wanted to work on. He decided to continue on his adventure story.
He was very productive and did a great job writing.
He mentioned how his mother had started reading them a story onetime and that that story had served as a major form of inspiration for his current story.
Once we had finished checking Cabo’s work for the day, he let me know that he continues to have issues streaming and that they stem from a hardware requirement.
We explored creative solutions to his current predicament. Cabo also enjoys another game. So, he attempted to run his streaming software at the same time as a different game which is far less demanding on his computer.
He ran into issues on his first attempt (screen issues) but then was successful on a subsequent attempt.
We discussed theoretical Monetization Strategies that Cabo could look into if he decides to stream, and we discussed theoretical scheduling strategies for content. He had a great idea of having firm days and flex days for content.

I checked in with Cabo today.
He says that he continues to be very enthusiastic about his streaming even though he has run into issues.
Today after checking Cabo’s assignments due, we discussed people that Cabo respects. We then decided to send those people a message and/or ask them in person how they chose their current profession or field of study.
He messaged his parents.
We also discussed how his content creation is progressing. After discussing the value of being prepared, he decided to test one of his “plug-ins” prior to his Friday stream instead of on Friday.
Assignment
Speak with People he respects about their current professions
I then presented a short introduction addressing some strategies to move forward with people towards a common goal.
We spoke about identifying partner's true concerns, using specific language, and providing examples.
Cabo wants to bring his lizard to school. We used this as an opportunity to prepare for a conversation with Judie about this event.
We discussed considering the perspective of all the parties involved.
We had a chance to have a conversation with Judie during our class period.

Lesson Comments
Cabo seemed to get a little uncomfortable in the course of our conversation. He retreated to the comfort of his computer.
I am hoping that we can get him comfortable and moving toward a spcific and meaningful goal.
He expressed to me how he thought that accomplishing his goal before Spring Break seemed like a less than ideal solution as that was a distant timeline.

Lesson Outline
Cabo checked his assignments. Once all of his work was completed, he started to work toward his goal of being a content creator.
Cabo and I discussed an article from Entrepreneur.com that discussed the "ideal" times during the week to stream content if the goal is maximize number of viewers.
We discussed what human behaviors (typical school/work hours) could be influencing the ideal time for streaming.
He checked and at the end of class found out that he had been verified by google.
