Bella really liked the application and results of the enzyme peel on the surface of her skin.
Bella created a mixture of a bleaching powder and equal parts of 40 vol. H202 and applied it to the previously colored fringe area of the mannequin head in order to remove all color from the strands.
This procedure will need to be repeated in our next class on the parts of the fringe the color was not completely removed in the first application. Bella is learning how some man-made chemical solutions, such as artificial hair color, are engineered to stay put and therefore hard to remove.

Discussed general aspects of electricity. We walked the campus using refraction glasses to bend the visible spectrum and discussed common forms of electric waves, such as light waves, and their effect on our surrounding environment. Reviewed diseases and disorders of the skin and discussed the impact of polarity on the skin and bacteria when high-frequency alternating currents are applied via gas-filled glass tubes. Demonstrated the use of a mobile high-frequency machine on Bella's skin and she practiced on a micro level on herself, 1 student, 1 teacher and 1 admin. personell

Erin Gleeson did participate in the fire drill =)
We explored Yahoo Finance for various stocks and looked at charts of their performances over the past 5 years, specifically before, during, and after Covid. Very cool seeing how Zoom's stock prices skyrocketed during Covid while AMC theaters's stock prices dove, recovered briefly, and continues to dive now!
In preparation for an assignment in which Cameron thinks of a business idea in another country for U.S. tourists, he read and we discussed how good leaders don't just barge in and boss people around, but rather show humility and put themselves in the shoes of the locals and their staff. We also discussed how the owner of Patagonia sold his company to an environmental non-profit.
After watching two short videos on "what is a company" and "what is a stock", Carson dove into an exercise requiring him to identify products v companies whose stock is publicly traded on the NYSE or NASDAQ and their respective ticker symbol.
We discussed why companies have to concern themselves with not just profits but also the other 2 pillars of a sustainable business. Cameron did some great research to identify why Patagonia is known for its sustainability.
We added the Corporate Bond Market to our circular flow of the economy and then Carson got signed up to the Stock Market Game where he is given $100,000 (fake) to invest in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds over the semester
