Ways to help in one's community
Lesson Outline
Richard shared some advice he would give to incoming students - an assignment he was given yesterday before he left for his eye therapy appointments. He said he would tell students to "just have fun - but follow the rules." We also discussed leadership qualities and reviewed the major accomplishments of some people in history we have covered in class who are considered heroes. Richard was asked to reflect on those qualities he deemed most important and asked if he sees any in himself. I recognized those that earned him the role of diplomat at Batt and those which he possesses that have helped set a good example for others at school.

Richard has demonstrated significant improvement this year, including fine motor strength and coordinating, visual perceptual and motor skills, gross motor coordinating and motor planning, oculomotor skills, sensory processing and overall confidence. Richard continues to struggle with some executive functioning skills and organization. An end of the year progress report will be sent to the school including VMI results and goal progress.
