We could not go outside today because of the high winds.
We stayed inside and did a 20-minute YouTube workout.
The workout included upper and lower body exercises along with core work.
Kellan completed the lab "Be a Detective." He recorded data about the appearance, texture, reaction to water, pH, reaction to iodine, and reaction to vinegar of baking soda, sugar, ascorbic acid, cornstarch, and mystery substance.
Today, Kellan used the flashcards to review the 3 and 4 facts before taking a timed 4s fact check. Then, he answered daily review questions on determining if multiplication word problems were true and choosing the correct operation to solve word problems. Finally, Kellan continued to practice 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication, using his multiplication chart and step-by-step reference when needed.
Kellan began with the daily review questions on solving a multiplication word problem and using an array to write multiplication and repeated addition equations. Then, he worked on the unit's fluency practice activity on adding and subtracting multi-digit whole numbers. Finally, Kellan solved 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication problems from a Thanksgiving turkey coloring activity.
Kellan reviewed the key terms chemical property, chemical change, physical change, oxidation, flammability, and reactivity. He viewed an image of different chemical properties and identified each one.
