Lesson Outline
To begin, Kellan copied and completed review problems from the whiteboard on rounding to estimate, subtracting across zeros, and multiplying a single digit by a multiple of 1,000. Then, our previous lesson on multiplying single digits by multiples of 10, 100, and 1,000 was expanded upon to include multiplying 2 multiples of 10 factors. Kellan and I completed the lesson's examples together using basic facts and place-value to help him find the solutions.
