design fundamentals. I worked with Kate today, just as a fill-in class. She created a "line" design using the "elements" of art, lines and shapes. She then added other design elements to this design with other colors.
design fundamentals. For Dylan's first art lesson today, we talked about the use of lines and shapes. These are the first two "elements" of art. He did a design to show the use of lines, and then added the "primary" colors, red, blue, and yellow to it. He also did a drawing using lines and shapes and created "Larry the Lion."

good art classes all this year. saw some real progress.
design fundamentals. Alexa's "Cleopatra" portrait is still a "work in progress." She still has the facial color to do ,and then do all the embellishing she thought to do on it. She has the information about "Art Nouveau" in her art notebook, if she wishes to work on that also.
design fundamentals. Yanuell is working on finishing his three-d art form of "Medusa." He got this idea from the books he read while in St. Louis, "Percy Jackson." Really cool idea, and the results will be awesome...
design fundamentals. For Arianna's last art session today, she painted a picture of what she called the "Dark Fairy." Not sure where this came from, but we accomplished it anyway. She has done a great job this year in her art classes.
design fundamentals. Alexa continues to work on her portrait of "Cleopatra." She still is in the process of finishing the color of the face, as well as other little details. I believe her thoughts are to embellish this portrait with some glitter and other little gem stones.
design fundamentals. Craig had some art time today. The other art students have been working with the concept of "recycled" art forms. Craig took a discarded palm frond, and made a wall hanging with a seahorse on it. Good job, Craig!
design fundamentals. Charlie had some art time today. I have been working with the other students making the use of "recycled" art forms. So Charlie made a skull from a discarded palm frond. Very interesting results. Good job, Charlie!
design fundamentals. Alexa is currently still working on her "Cleopatra" portrait project. She is still filling in the colors of the face, and will then finish creating the background.
