design fundamentals. Henry worked on s couple of new projects today. We had extra time together, so he created an "ice cream cone" from aluminum foil and then used paper mâché to cover it. He also worked on a portrait of "Mona Lisa", but created her in a more "modern" style.

design fundamentals. Jayne painted the background for her dolphin art piece today. She also did a small "Art Nouveau" picture. We will talk about this art style more on Friday during her art time.

design fundamentals. Alexa started to create the background for her "Cleopatra" portrait today. She continues to work on the portrait itself, also. She wants to embellish the entire piece with different "glittering" effects.

design fundamentals. Marcos continues to work on his current painting of a sunset, showing the use of the "balance" and the concept of "asymmetrical." He will then do a project to show" balance" in the radial and symmetrical style.

design fundamentals. We combined Jayne's art time and music time together today. She worked on a drawing of an Egyptian cat and a butterfly with it's chrysalis for art today. She then created a collage about the musical,"The Greatest Showman", that she has been watching during her music class time.

design fundamentals. Alexa continues to work on her "Cleopatra" portrait. She is diligently working on this piece, because of all the detail she is putting into it. She will also be working on her "Art Nouveau" piece soon.

design fundamentals. Using the idea of "recycled" art forms, Henry took a palm frond from a tree and painted a background for a project. He painted the palm frond as a sunset. He then drew and colored a marlin. He will then put the two pieces together as one piece of artwork. Very "cool" results.

design fundamentals. Jayne worked on the third "balance" design today. This drawing was to show the use of "radial" design. She created a sunflower pattern by repeating shapes from the center outward. She then added color.

design fundamentals. Alexa started to add color to her portrait of Cleopatra today. She has chosen to use colored pencils to do the entire picture. I'm sure when it is finished it will look awesome. When this is done, she will then start on her "Art Nouveau" project.

design fundamentals. Max joined us for an art lesson on "balance" in various art forms. He worked on a design to show the use of "symmetry" in art work. Nice to work with him today.
