Using the computer keyboard, I would make a letter sound and she had to locate the letter and type it on to a word document.
Letter recognition/Letter Sound of Nn - Using her book titled,” Get Set for the Code” pages 30 -31 she reviewed the letter and sound.
Penny also completed a listen and then follow directions activity on pages 32-33.
We reviewed knee strikes, front kicks, punches, and upper blocks. We used X-ray paper to help us focus. We completed cartwheels and push-ups for upper body strength and finished the session with sit-ups.
Penny and I went for a tour of the school and grounds.
She completed a variety of tasks including: searching for and naming letters, counting works of art, performing math operations with works of art, counting the number of times that a ball was tossed back and forth between us. We made it up to almost 70 tosses. She did an excellent job count but seemed to pause the longest when we would reach a new 10’s group.
She was a joy to have in class and did a fantastic job of blending activity with learning.

I loved working with Penny. I hope to do it again soon.
Penny was given the base to her sculpture along with some purple paint and instructed to paint the base. Penny moved the base to the side to dry and we worked to complete Minnie Mouse's face. Penny completed the painting portion of her sculpture by placing polka dots on the bow of her figure.
Sight Words – Penny continued to work on blending 2 and 3 sounds together to make a word such as; am, is, see, can, big, see, and go.
Penny and I took turns picking up a word card from a pile, saying the word and keeping the card. The one with the most cards won.
Penny recited numbers 1-100. Penny easily recognized numbers 1-11, and we worked on number recognition with numbers 12-20. Penny and I played a math "car" game that involved addition of 2 numbers up to 10. Penny did a great job adding numbers together and won the game!
