Penny practiced number recognition and letter recognition by playing BINGO. She would say the sounds of the letters and then think of words that began with the same sound. Penny also worked on the 1-100 number recognition. Penny also added two numbers together by working with objects and counting a total.

Sight Words – Penny worked on blending 2 and 3 sounds together to make a word such as; am, is, it, can, big, see, and at.
Penny and I took turns picking up a word card from a pile, saying the word and keeping the card. The one with the most cards won.
Penny worked on a Valentine's Day theme print. She made red and pink hearts with a paw print logo background.

Miss Penny had fun drawing her hearts and writing her name on the Photoshop platform. She really enjoys the use of color and shapes for her Vday print.
Penny decorated her Valentine's Day bag for tomorrow. Penny also played the drums for a few minutes with the new music teacher, Mr. Tony. We went back to Penny's room and reviewed counting 1-100 and writing in missing numbers. Penny also typed numbers 1-10 using the computer.

Penny stated that she would like to take music with Mr. Tony and learn to maybe play the drums.
Letter identification /Letter Sound for the letter “Uu” – Penny made two pictures for the two sounds of “U” as in unicorn and umbrella last week. She then typed the words on a computer, we printed it, and today she glued it to the correct picture.
Sight Words – Penny read the words on her word ring. After which she reread the book titled, ”Can You See It?”
Seasonal Activity – Penny decorated a bag for the Valentine exchange tomorrow.
