Penny had just watched the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary animal show. This group provided each child with a stuffed alligator, “A National Geographic for Kids book About Alligators and Crocodiles,” and a wildlife puzzle. I read the book to her and we took apart the puzzle and put it together many times.

Penny listened to a story and then put story pictures in the correct order. She enjoyed listening to the clues of different animals and then naming the animal described. Fine motor skills were practiced by threading macaroni pasta to make a bracelet.

Penny came to me with string wanting to make jewelry. After the drawing conclusion and sequencing activities, she enjoyed threading maccaroni to make a pasta bracelet.
Letter identification /Letter Sound – We played the “Pop the Letter” game; reinforcing the letter names and sounds.
She also played some games on my I-Pad, which also gives her practice in this area of the curriculum.
Sight Words – Penny read the words on her word ring. After which she read a book with a few of her sight words titled, ”Can You See”.
