Sight Words – I introduced the word “Like” and she read a book titled, “Animals”. This word was added to her word wheel.

Upper and Lower Case Letters Matching -- Using ABCya.com Penny, matched the upper and lower case.

4 Panel Project
Lesson Outline
Create outlines for the 4 panel project.
Plan colors and compositions of the four panels.

Penny decided to change her project topic to Frozen since shes already working on a Wonderwoman project with Mr. Marcus. So we used the computer to find new reference images and printed them out.

We planned out a story from Frozen and chose images to fit the story. Next class we'll begin painting the first image and move on to our first shading exercise.

Penny was shown the progress of her Wonder Woman painting. I informed her that we would be working on the blue highlights of the hair, along with the yellow and red areas of the outfit. I painted out the areas that I wanted her to complete and she painted the areas with the respective colors.

Addition Flash Cards
Lesson Outline
Penny made addition flash cards out of little bunnies and glued them to craft sticks and put them in some Easter grass in a container. We quizzed each other with the flash cards and other people. Penny practiced writing numbers and making addition sentences and reading the problems to other people, i.e. "Three plus four equals seven."

Lesson Outline
Created abstract paintings using different types of brushes and splatter them on the canvas. Then fold the paper in half and see the patterns and how they are symmetrical now. Began to learn how to mix primary colors by working with blue and red to make dark purple.
