Will was shown some more images he collected during his film shoot. There are several instances where the ‘actors’ experienced a wardrobe failure. In each case a repair, made with Photoshop, is required. Will worked at fixing Marcos' issues using the stamp tool in Photoshop.

Christmas Card photo Shoot -
Will and I examined his photos from his Christmas Card photo shoot. He edited out the ones he did not want anyone to see, and those he believed were too dark. Finally he used a filter to enhance his photos and prepare the final few to deliver to Marcos' family. We used an ftp site to deliver the images to the family.

Will and I worked on a storyboard, on which every different scene is sketched. I explained how we will use the images we collected over the past few weeks, and Will created different backgrounds to match each scenario. We examined the script and figured out what visuals should accompany the text, and made a list of backgrounds that need to be created. I suggested that the first and last scenes should mirror each other, providing a defined beginning and end to the film. Will wanted to end with a different character’s reaction to the main event. We we made a combination scene, which will fit both goals. We discussed wide-shots, close-ups, and action scenes. We examined how much work will be necessary to even out the uneven green screen we used.

Will used this class to complete the filming of the stop action film project. Today's shoot-list included getting the teacher writing on the blackboard, scolding the boys, and reacting to their insolence. Andy and Mark did a high-five for the cameras and we took close-up photos of each of the main characters with various facial expressions.

We were able to get several scenes shot on a green screen. We focused on getting all where the characters were sitting, and we shot from several camera angles. This involved not only moving the heads for laughing, but also mouth and eye movements to cover the conversations the stars will be having.

Will set the stage, and started filming his stop-action film. We were able to get several scenes shot on a green screen. We focused on getting all where the characters were walking, and we shot from several camera angles. This involved not only moving the legs for walking, but also mouth and eye movements to cover the conversations the stars will be having.

Will took photos of the birthday party today. We examined his work and discussed what he did well, and what he can think about next time to improve his work. We then used paint to make a green screen for his stop action movie we will be shooting next week. Homework: take 3 photos of an object ( or objects) full frame, and then zoom in on one aspect of that object. Only six photos will be accepted.

Stop action film project -
It has been a long time since we had checked on our characters, but they seem to be in good shape. Will finished preparing Marc the dog, and I finished working on Tony. We then spent some time with Will’s camera. We reviewed the process for downloading his photos, and clearing the memory card on the camera. I then showed him how to format the card, before starting a new project. We discussed his photo library, and the new software on his computer, and came to the conclusion that he had a lot to edit through. I explained that he is good enough now to be confident in his ability, so when he takes a photo, he need only take one or two shots (no more than five) of any stationary subject. This will insure he has at least one in focus.
