Directorship -
Will directed the green screen placement of each of the 16 scenes of his film. The work included the placement and editing of the scenes in the final process of making his film. He prepared the scenes for the addition of sound recordings.

Directorship -
Will and I reviewed his work on the sonigraphs of his audio performance. He edited out all unwanted takes and we ended up with a good audio recording for the movie. I showed Will the camera angles we had for each scene. He then examined the script and decided, as the director, where he wanted the camera angle changes to happen for each scene.

Guitarband -
Will edited the sonigraphs we created as he acted out his part in the movie. He was given the tools to split a track into two tracks, and how to move, cut, copy, and merge the tracks. We listened to the sound track, and re-recorded sections he found were not up to his satisfaction. He then finalized the sound track for the movie. We then listened to different sound effects that he wants to add to the movie.

Transformation Warp tool -
Will worked on the final touches of his movie. I instructed the use of the warp tool. This tool allowed Will to distort a famous painting to fit the script of his film. We also examined a new way to correct some issues with the green backgrounds in a very fast manner. Finally we examined all the scenes to find any other last minute fixes, before we add the sound effects. Homework: Fix the six images for the ‘push-over’ scene.

Batch Action tool -
Will and I examined all the sections of his movie. We are ready to marry the images to the different backgrounds. This involves re-sizing one image and moving it to work with the background image. We call this a ‘fix’. Since the stop-action movie process involves many images that will run in quick succession, this ‘fix’ has to be repeated precisely for every individual image. Using Photoshop, you can record the actions used to re-size the photo, and then replay them for a batch of photos. I showed Will how to record an action. We discussed how this is similar to recording an audio file, but in this case it is a recording of actions. Homework: complete the last ten images in the folder.

Opaque Slide Tool -
Will was instructed on how to use the opaque slide to manage the intensity of an action. We experimented and used this tool in consort with the other tools he is already familiar. Will was then instructed how to reduce the glare in some images from the movie. Will worked on a series of images. Homework: repair two images, using Photoshop.

Photoshop editing -
Will was instructed on how to use the Photoshop tools to repair an image, without interfering with the integrity of the image. We worked on his movie images, but he was challenged to do so without zooming in to extremely close focus. He had to depend on his own judgment to identify areas to repair. Will found this exercise increased his confidence in his own skill, and his speed.

Photoshop editing -
Will took photos during the graduation ceremony for Hunter. We then reviewed the photos he had edited as homework. These photos were from his trip to Los Angeles, and his tour of Warner Bros. Studios. We discussed the different movies made by that studio, and the different departments he toured. Finally we examined the Photoshop work Will had completed by himself as homework. He was eager to show me how well he accomplished this assignment, and how much improvement he made in Photoshop tools. Homework: Use Photoshop to repair two images.

Photoshop -
Will used Photoshop to create expression in his actors, on the stop-action film. We both examined the images and corrected any color irregularities, and changed the eye direction and facial features that were compromised during the filming process.

Folders in Apple Photos -
Will suggested I show him how to create a new album and a new folder in the Apple application titled Photos. He is currently editing his photos from his trip to Los Angeles, and wanted to have them in a single album.
