Mercer played a game of chess.

Mercer participated in school wide Valentine's Day activities.

He learned how to write words in cursive using the letter b. We reviewed his Wordly Wise words, and did an activity over their meanings in preparation for his test on Wednesday. He was assigned a report to do for Black History month and he selected Ron McNair, the second black astronaut who traveled into space. We spent time researching and taking notes on his life.

Mercer began exercises from the 6th grade math Envision textbook, converting fractions to decimals.

Mercer was given his clay sculpture and we worked together to complete the tail, face, and hands of his sculpture. Mercer was instructed to place the figure in the oven, and bake it at 250 degrees.

Due to inclement weather, Mercer began class with a game of ping pong. Next, he participated in a fun, high-energy, competitive game of soccer.

Lesson 3 Thermal Energy and Heat: We reviewed the lesson and took a quiz.

He took his spelling test and made a 100. We worked on an SSAT writing essay. He is using techniques he has been taught to assemble his working outline and then write his final essay.

Today we are looking for images of Equatorial Guinea and we began to put together the project.

Today he chose his country for his final project. The country he chose was: Equatorial Guinea.
