Mercer is doing great. His vocabulary memorization is great. I had prepared a day to study but for the most part he was prepared so we worked on Halloween crafts.
Today's lessons focused on Geography. Mercer completed activities that quizzed him on the location of countries around the world. Mercer answered questions about the identification of the location of countries and islands around the world. Mercer scored 100 percent on the identification of countries around the world and worked on learning islands around the world.

Mercer read material about Sumerians, Babylonians, Chaldeans, Akkiadeans, and Assryainans and how they continued many of the ideas of the people before them, such as the cuniform language. Mercer participated in discussing the lack of tangible evidence of their existence until the 1800s. Mercer spent the remainder of the class learning fun facts about ancient geography.

Lesson 4 Pure Substances and Mixtures: We learned the difference between metals, nonmetals, and metalloids. Then we learned that compounds can be classified by their pH level as to whether they are acidic, basic, or neutral. Next we learned that organic refers to compounds that contain carbon and hydrogen. Organic compounds can be found in synthetic goods or inorganic compounds.
Assignment: Add pictures and definitions of vocabulary to science notebook.
Solo #2, and Lesson 7 (sixteenth notes) from Alfred's Snare Drum Method Book 1.
Lesson Outline
We reviewed all of the different types of notes and rests we have learned thus far, and played through Solo #2 as an application of all of these. We proceeded to Lesson 7, which covers reading, counting, and playing sixteenth notes.
We continued working with the verb IR "to go", he was able to create sentences using the verb properly in Spanish and at the end he took a short quiz about the vocabulary learned from the days of the week.
