Today, I helped Bella with her math class. We divided the class into two sections.
During the first part of the class, I explained to Bella the concept of parallel lines and defined the point-slope formula that would be used to calculate parallel lines.
During the second part of the class, we solved several questions together and then, Bella worked independently on a few more questions.
We didn't have time to cover perpendicular lines, but Bella worked well throughout the class.
We reviewed 2-3 Standard Form.
2-4 Parallel and Perpendicular lines – We learned to write equations to represent lines that are parallel and perpendicular to a given line. We graphed lines to show an understanding of the relationship between the slopes of parallel and perpendicular lines. Then we solved real-world problems that involve parallel and perpendicular lines.
