In today's class, we would have watched a video on the Calvin Cycle, going into detail about what it is, how it works, and why it is relevant in biology. We would have then started our discussion on genetic mutations, including what they are, what types there are, why they are important and what role they play in everyday life.

The Emancipation Proclamation:Creation, Context & Legacy
Lesson Outline
The Emancipation Proclamation was one of the most influential presidential speeches in US history. Issued on January 1, 1863, by President Abraham Lincoln and granted freedom to enslaved peoples in ten states. It was issued during the American Civil War and helped allow the Union to win the war. While it did not make slavery illegal and there was criticism surrounding the document, its existence brought on the abolition of slavery in 1865. The Emancipation Proclamation is one of the most important documents in the history of the United States.
In today's class, Bella learned about photolysis and the light-dependent reaction of photosynthesis, including what it is, which key players are involved, and how it happens. Bella was able to use her recall from previous lessons to help her understand this lesson.
