Tristan completed lesson 4 quiz - what are the states of water?, receiving a 4/5. I then read aloud lesson 5 - what are magnets?, discussing vocabulary such as magnet, magnetic field, magnetic pole, and electromagnet. Tristan then watched a 'Generation Genius' video, "Magnets and Static Electricity", learning that forces can be applied at a distance through magnetism and static electricity; the closer the magnets are, the stronger the force; and static electricity can push or pull things without touching them.
Tristan and I continued to review basic multiplication and division facts with a game of Bingo. Tristan was happy that he won both games and did great with all of the facts. He also applied these facts to writing and solving multiplication equations from word problems and writing the missing value in multiplication sentences.
Tristan completed homework such as, language arts - introducing vocabulary with the story, "Let's Make Art" learning the vocabulary words such as jealous, roam, misty, create, dainty, compete, edge, attach, silent, and damage; math - reviewing tens and adding tens. Example, 6 tens = 60 and 6 tens + 3 tens = 9 tens. Tristan also went on Math Prodigy for 10 minutes.
