Lab designed to predict the landing point of projectile. Lab involves determining both vertical and horizontal distance and time for a projectile moving along a ramp and then dropping to the floor. Determine horizontal distance and time from appropriate formulas as well as vertical speed and distance. After all measurements and calculations are completed, the exact location of the projectile of the golf ball rolling down the ramp and landing into a cup on the floor is determined and then executed.

landing spot on the floor was very close to the determined spot, off by a few centimeters
Review titration method. Present a specific titration problem which involves conversion of mass in grams used in the problem to moles. Derive and balance the specific formula. Convert the moles per liter into moles per milliliters. Use a stoichiometric equation to determine the number of milliliters required to reach the equivalent point.
Unit 4- Short Fiction II/function of character, setting ,and structure
Lesson Outline
Using the short story "Girl" we today discussed and studied how to infer character and setting from a stream of consciousness narrative. I first reviewed the characteristics of this form of narration and further reviewed the terms diction and syntax. Joshua then identified elements of syntax and diction that revealed the imperious and critical character of the narrator's mother. We then discussed how setting includes cultural values and explored how the passage revealed the rigid gender roles in the narrator's society. Last, we analyzed the text to glean a thematic message suggested by the stream of consciousness narration. Joshua did well in analyzing this passage in class discussion .
We reviewed on problems using calculus to sketch a curve. We began the process of solving optimization problems using calculus. Writing the equation for the quantity to be maximized or minimized can be quite challenging. The calculus part of the process requires finding a derivative, setting it equal to zero, and solving can also be challenging. Examples will be done to demonstrate the process.

We made a lot of progress today on the optimization problems. We did examples emphasizing the steps involved. More examples will be done in upcoming classes.
Explain titration is used to determine the unknown concentration of an acid when titrated with a known concentration of base. State as an example how to determine a specific acid concentration from an acid base problem. Write out stepwise how to solve th problem after conversion of volume and determination of molarity. Finish the problem for howmwork
Review parts of Newtons second law as well as fee fall and formulas involved with free fall. Examine Newton's third law. Discuss force as a push or pull. Elicit why you do not fall through the wall if you lean on it. Discuss the action force and the Force of reaction, use examples. State Newton's 3rd law in terms of action and reaction forces. Discus examples of actin and reaction forces in everyday life
Use calculus to sketch a curve. The first derivative enables us to find extrema and intervals where the function is increasing or decreasing. The second derivative enables us to find inflection points and intervals where the function is concave upward or concave downward. Examples will be done to reinforce these concepts.

Unit 4- Short Fiction II/function of character, setting ,and structure
Lesson Outline
Joshua had an online class today. After we reviewed our homework and test schedule for the week, I provided instruction on the form and function of the stream of consciousness narrative form. I noted the use of unusual syntax, dialogue ,and sensory images as characteristics. We then compared the reliability of this form of narrative with the first person point of view. We further addressed how to amplify Joshua's essay on "A Rose for Emily,"
Joshua opened a new Photoshop file and labeled it composition. Joshua was given time to look for images of a temple and sky. I worked with Joshua to import the font and images of a car and driver. Joshua and I worked together to create a mask for the temple to remove the background.
