Aiden practiced many 7th grade math skills including proportions, decimal division, and multiplying and dividing fractions.

Aiden worked on holiday math multiplying and dividing 3 or more integers. Then he worked on his math homework.

Aiden completed adding and subtracting several sets of integers. Then he began working on multiplying and dividing integers.

We worked on adding fractions and putting the result in simplest form. When Aiden calculated the correct answers, he was able to solve a riddle. Then we worked on adding and subtracting several sets of integers to hone his skills. When the sums of integers are correct Aiden will be able to make the ornaments the right color. This was a good activity for Aiden to maintain his skill for working with integers.

6-2 Proportions – We learned that 2 ratios form a proportion if their cross products are equal. Next we learned that proportions can be true, false, or open.

We practiced all 4 operations on fractions and mixed numbers.

We practiced division, long division, and division with decimal divisors.

3-1 Analyze Percent of Numbers – We learned to represent percent as ratios including those greater than 100% and less than 1%. Then we learned to use equivalent ratios to calculate percent. We learned that a ratio compares 2 quantities by division.

We reviewed ratios and rates. We practiced finding unit rates.

We continued to work on plotting ordered pairs on an x and y coordinate system. This activity will help Aiden locate points.
