Today Will went through his powerpoint presentation and fixed the edits he made with Ms. Katie. He then added additional information about the White House. Will looked up research on the Lincoln Memorial that he will add to his presentation next class. Will has been extremely excited about discussing Washington D.C..
Gwendolyn used funtotype.com to practice typing the home row keys on the keyboard. She is practicing typing without having to look down at the keyboard. She has fun typing on this website and is learning at the same time!
Baylie typed up a series of letters and words that I generated using a website called keybr.com. I used only the homerow keys to start and then it moved into a review of E, I, T, and Y. She did an excellent job. Her keyboarding skills have improved greatly.
Today Marina completed the venturing out lesson and received another trophy for her typing trophy case. Today Marina was typing an average of 15 words per minute with 94% accuracy. Great work today Marina!
Today Will and I had the opportunity to meet during half of his sign language class. Will will begin working on a PowerPoint presentation next class. Today Will and I brainstormed topics he could research. He decided he wanted to research Washington D.C.. We began to research different buildings he wanted to include in his presentation.
Ethan and I played a really fun game for keyboarding today where you use your letters to kill zombies before they get to you. We worked as a team- he took the left side of the home row (ASDF) and I took the right side (GHJKL). We got to level 3! I think this game is big hit with him! It can be accessed on funtotype.com.
