Today we went off topic a bit and studied words that people don't realize are acronyms. Jack was really interested and I even learned some new things! Examples - SCUBA, LASER, RADAR, CARE Package, SPAM, CAPTCHA, GIF

We discussed structure in design. Then we built a fort in his room and Jack figured out ways to improve the structure.

I showed Jack how to take his drawing into Illustrator to create a vector image that allows him to change colors and fill sections with color.

Jack learned how to build a digital "world", building walls with a pattern.

Jack continued his drawings of his military vehicles. He's learning to create layers, copy/paste, and add fills.

We used Procreate as a drawing tool. Jack learned how to make a copy of an image and then use layers to trace and color.

Jack completed a tutorial where he learned to create vector graphics by tracing objects using the pen tool. He also used the eye dropper tool to sample colors.

Jack learned how to use the patch tool to remove objects from a photo. We used a sample photo of people playing in the ocean. Jack edited the photo to only show two kids at the top of the photo.
