We learned how to protect our identity on-line. Then we practiced creating strong passwords to keep our personal information safe. Then we learned the meaning of two-factor authentication. I sent Ben a few HTML files and they ran on his Mac, so we will write HTML code.
Build a simple program in JavaScript – We learned the meaning of cyber and HTML. Then we learned the difference between HTML and JavaScript. We learned how to use JavaScript to declare variables, prompt for user input, and perform basic string concatenation. We output the results using console and alert commands.
Cyber Safety – We created our own safe social media profile. Then we determined the content of our digital footprint. The compilation of websites, apps, and online accounts was very small. We learned how to keep our identity safe online.
Cyber Safety – We learned how to access and communicate safely on the Internet. We know which information is safe to share and which is not. We can make the most of the digital technologies available to us by adapting to new ways of doing things as technologies evolve and limit the risks to ourselves and others in a digital environment.
Ben and I discussed the curriculum for his computer science class. He said he would like to learn to write code. We explored the application of several different programming languages. We decided to learn to program in JavaScript.
