In today's class, Cameron worked on an quiz that deals with directional and anatomical terminology. Cameron was given several questions on terms, directions and body planes and was required to either fill in an answer or choose the correct answer from a list of answers. Cameron did a great job at answering the questions on his own.
We learned about the Marketing Plan within a Business Plan and how to develop each aspect. Using infographics is a common practice for these plans to highlight the main goals and target demographics.
We had a short amount of class time and we used it for current events. In Japan fishermen are raising concerns about the government's decision to gradually release more than a million tons of filtered wastewater from a nuclear power plant into the Pacific Ocean. The government says it's necessary, but the decision comes as life for fishermen is getting back to normal following a nuclear meltdown more than a decade ago.

Cameron didn't answer my calls for our 5th period 12:30 pm class after lunch. By the time we connected he said he just thought I was absent. I reminded Cameron that when this has happened before (when Dr. Pat addressed this issue with Cameron several weeks ago - Dr. Pat reminded Cameron to take the initiative and call his teacher.) Cameron finally responded to a text and for the 2nd time this week, he told me he didn't know how to join an open Teams class. So we hung up and I called him back again.

Cameron remains Remote. Class today spent discussing angle of the story, priorities of topics within a story and Cameron maintains / recalls journalism basics and previous lessons of present tense, and selects the "outrage" of the Bears Club residents as topic for opening of the story. Set scene in battle of rights vs. commercial development by Top Golf. Cameron's comprehension is good but attention while remote could improve. (Eating, rubic cube) during class.

Cameron is remote again which is far less productive in terms of his attention. Not necessarily Cam specifically, I'm guessing its just a byproduct of the remote process. Cameron remains engaged and his comprehension of the various elements of a News Story (different and more government structured in nature). I created a concept of a story and discuss the elements and potential ways to write it to convey the outrageousness and the battle for rights. Ironically, both side of the battle love the same thing: Golf
Today we began to study the parts of the body in Spanish. He completed two activities where he had to identify the body parts and write it in Spanish from studyspanish.com.
Juan Perón was the President of Argentina from 1946-52, 1952-55, and 1973-74. He built large support among the Argentinian working class, partially due to the popularity and charisma of his wife, Eva Perón. He developed a doctrine of "Peronism" or "Justicialism," which drew from fascism, socialism, social democracy, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt's writings, among other influences. The support for Perón started to dwindle after Eva Perón's death in 1952. In 1955, Perón was ousted by a military coup and forced to flee the country. He returned in 1972 and once again became Argentina's president in 1973. His last term was, however, plagued by high inflation and economic instability. Perón also suffered from poor health and died in office in 1974. Cameron then learned about Argentina's "Dirty War" from 1974 - 1983. It's estimated between 9,000 - 30,000 were killed or "disappeared" in an attempt by the governing junta to silence opposition. This is similar to what Cameron learned about Pinochet in Chile yesterday.
