In today's class, we continued our topic of anatomy and physiology. Cameron worked on some activities that reinforces what he's learned so far on the skeletal system. For example, on one activity, he had to label the skeletal system and some of the major bones of the body. On another, he had to fill in a crossword puzzle using the skeletal system hints it provides.
We completed the homework from last night. Then we reviewed finding the domain, range, X and Y intercepts, and graphing translations of the square root function to prepare for a Quiz on 10-1 The Square Root Function.

The 21st century has already seen many technological innovations. Some of these have already drastically changed the world we live in, while others will likely do so in the future. For example, the digitizing of all information - from hospital records to business contacts - has allowed many to do away with the musty old file cabinets, which used to house thousands of documents. Now, those documents can be stored on disks and chips that fit in the palm of your hand. The same chips, which allow us to store digital information, have also increased computing power and allowed mankind to access the Internet at ever greater speeds. The Internet provides us with a wealth of information at our fingertips. Similarly, nanotechnology should be one of the more promising fields to watch in the rest of the century. While encouraging the digital revolution, nanotechnology will also likely prove beneficial in fields from medicine to energy conservation. We discussed a new law FL Gov. Ron DeSantis signed yesterday re: education changes that include prohibiting students from using cell phones during class time and curtailing use of the social-media platform TikTok on school grounds. The law, which will take effect in July, also seeks to prevent students from using cell phones and other wireless devices during “instructional time.” Under the measure, cell phones could not be used during lessons unless “expressly directed by a teacher solely for educational purposes.”
In today's class, we continued our discussion on anatomy and physiology, including talking about the skeletal system. We discussed joints and what their function and classifications are, as well as types of joints. We also practiced naming our bones.
10-1 The Square Root Function – We learned to find the domain and range of Square Root Functions. Then we practiced finding the x and y intercepts.

Deion Sanders Sr. is an American football coach and former player who's the current head football coach at the University of Colorado Boulder. Nicknamed "Prime Time", he played in the NFL for 14 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Ravens. Sanders was also a baseball outfielder for nine seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, and San Francisco Giants. He won two Super Bowl titles and made a World Series appearance in 1992, making him the only athlete to play in both a Super Bowl and a World Series.
Sanders played college football at Florida State University, winning the Jim Thorpe Award as a senior. During his career, he was named to eight Pro Bowls, received six first-team All-Pros, and made consecutive Super Bowl appearances in Super Bowl XXIX with the 49ers and Super Bowl XXX with the Cowboys, winning both. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. After retiring as a player, Sanders pursued a sports analyst and coaching career. Near the end of the 2022 season, Sanders was named the head football coach at Colorado. His players always start in blank jerseys because he thinks they need to earn their numbers. We then looked at current events and how the expiration of Title 42 re: immigration into the U.S. (tomorrow) will impact people, state and the federal government. At the federal level, Congress and the Executive Branch seem to be opposed to one another.
