Liam completed a reading comprehension activity answering comprehension questions pertaining to the story in writing. He worked on combining sentences with like ideas. He wrote the definition of a noun into his notebook with examples. He completed several activities using spelling words with blends. He learned when to use es to make a word mean more than one. He began writing a story about the Loud House.
Liam Imaged, read, spelled, and manipulated sounds in words with common affixes. He broke a list of 20 words into syllables and then read them with 100% accuracy. He also spelled ten pattern words correctly and wrote an ending for a story after visualizing the beginning. Finally, he read the next chapter of ‘Horrible Harry in Room 2B.'

Lesson Outline
Liam read and wrote new vocabulary words for the story, "Riding the Rails West." We reviewed why it was important for settlers to go West, and what our government gave them to go West. The story explained how the railroad made the journey much faster and safer for those who went West.
This morning, Liam began with a mixed multiplication and division facts practice. Then, he completed a daily review on multiplication and division word problems, writing the missing factors and products in a table, and the commutative and distributive properties of multiplication. Liam finished with Prodigy online answering multiplication and multi-digit addition related questions.

Liam read his Barometer and determined it was a Lamb Day/Good Weather Day. He recorded the results in his Barometer log. He read, discussed and wrote down the definitions for his new vocabulary words, from the story, "The Long Road to Oregon." After reading the story, he wrote the main ideas from the story into his notebook. He watched a Brain Pop video about Westward Expansion.
Liam imaged, read, spelled, and manipulated sounds in two-syllable words with affixes. He broke words into syllables before reading them. He correctly spelled 10 words from previous lessons. Finally, he read the next chapter in ‘Horrible Harry in Room 2B.’
